1. INTRODUCTION:

a.= The safety and enjoyment of the members of the community are of prim= ary concern in the operation of our pool at Rogers Ranch Swim Club. Please show courtesy and consideration for others during use of the pool and cooperate = with the lifeguards in their daily management of the pool.=

b.= Lifeguard(s) will be in charge of the pool area when on duty. We ask for your cooperation with t= he lifeguards' directives or requests regarding safety, abiding by the rules a= nd guidelines, and curtailing any activity that interferes with the swimming enjoyment of others.

2. SCHEDULE & HOURS OF OPERATI= ON:&nb= sp; = &nb= sp;

a.&= nbsp; March 1, 2007 - October 31, 2007

6:00 am through 10:00 pm=

Lifeguards on Duty: =

b. = Tuesday through Sunday 1 pm - 9 pm during the summer when school is not in session.=

= Pool is closed on Monday. =

The pool is closed for all swim team practices and meets except as noted below.=

For lap swimming, please ask the lifeguard to install the lane ropes to allow f= or dedicated lap lanes, not to exceed two lanes.

The Association or Pool Manager reserves the right to close the pool at any time for emergency weather or repair purposes.

FOR LIABILITY PURPOSES - NO ONE UNDER 18 IS ALLOWED IN <= o:p>

THE FENCED POOL AREA UNLESS ACCOMPANIED BY AN

ADULT OR A LIFEGUARD IS ON DUTY. ONE CARD

KEY IS ISSUED, AT “NO CHARGE,” ONE ADDITIONAL CARD KEY MAY BE PURCHASED FOR $10 PER FAMILY AFTER WAIVER IS SIGNED. <= /o:p>

There is a $25.00 charge for lost or missing keys.<= /o:p>

3. ENTRY AND POOL USE:<= /b>

a.= PERSONS USING THE POOL DO&nbs= p; SO AT THEIR OWN RISK. The Association is not responsible for accidents, injuries or loss of personal property. The ultima= te responsibility rests with the pool users who are homeowners or renters in t= he community and Association members.

b.   Entry and exit is by Card Key only. Anyone who enters without a Card Key may be asked to leave the pool a= rea.

c.= The pool facilities were designed and built for the primary u= se and recreation of the Crosstimber and Falling Brook Association members. In order to use the pool/recreation facilities the annual assessment must be p= aid in full.

d.= Only Association members in good standing (i.e., have annual assessm= ent fees paid, as required), their tenants, and their accompanied guests are permitted to use the pool and pool area.

e.= Register-sign in when arriving at the pool and sign out when leaving. All guests must also= be signed in and signed out when arriving and leaving the pool area.

(1) This sign-in/sign-out register will serve as a factual source of information as to the days and times when the pool is used most frequently = and by whom. It will also forecas= t any congestion problems and the need for additional lifeguards as our community grows.

(2) As conditions change and use of the pool increases, it may be necess= ary to make recommendations to the Board of Directors for changes such as the n= eed for charging for guests, or more definitive rules for conduct, etc.

        &= nbsp;   f. Age Rules: <= /p>

Under 12- accompanied by responsible adult at all times.

12+ over - accompanied by adult unl= ess lifeguard is on duty.

No one under the age of 18 may use = the pool unless a lifeguard or responsible adult is present.<= /b>

Babysitters 16 or older may bring children to pool when lifeguard is present.

g.   Close and lock all gates/doo= rs upon entering and exiting facility.

h.= Remove all personal belongings as you leave the pool. Any item(s) left overnight will be placed in the lost and found box and locked in the office and discarded aft= er one week.

4. GUESTS:

a.= Members in good standing may bring up to five (5) guests per family<= span style=3D'mso-spacerun:yes'> to the pool. The host member must accompany his/her guests at all times, and s= (he) is responsible for his/her guest's conduct at all times.<= /p>

b.   The lifeguard(s) may request guests leave the pool in the matter concerning safety or over-crowding.

c.= A GUEST CANNOT BE A NON-PAID MEMBER OF THE ASSOCIATION COMMUNITY, I.E., ASSOCIATION MEMBERS WHO HAVE NOT PAID THEIR ASSESSMENTS. THESE MEMBERS MAY NOT ENTER THE POOL OR POOL AREA AS A GUEST OF A PAID MEMBER.

6.= POOL CONDUCT RULES:

&nb= sp;           a. SMOKING IS ALLOWED OUTSIDE THE GATES.

&nb= sp;           b. Pool users must be properly attired in appropriate swim wear for the gender. Females must wear bat= hing suits covering the top and bottom and males must wear bathing suits covering the bottom. No cut-off pants are permitted.

&nb= sp;           c. Children who wear diapers must wear swim diapers at all times while in the pool.

&nb= sp;

&nb= sp;           d. Persons with communicable, contagious diseases, open cuts or sores are not allowed in the pool.

&nb= sp;

&nb= sp;           e. Unless children demonstrate to the lifeguard their ability to swim, they mu= st be accompanied by an adult while in the pool area. Children should not swim unless an= adult is at home to be notified in the event of an emergency, illness, or conduct problems. <= /p>

Children under twelve (12)   years old must be accompanie= d by an adult

at all times.

Twelve (12) year old children are a= llowed to come without an adult

when a lifeguard is on duty. <= /o:p>

No One under the age of 18 may use = the pool unless a lifeguard or

responsible adult is present.<= /o:p>

&nb= sp;           f. A responsible adult must be within physical reach of a non-swimmer at all times.

&nb= sp;

&nb= sp;           g. Children above age five (5) are not permitted in the baby pool.<= /span>

&nb= sp;           h. Running, rough play (in or out of the pool), excessive splashing, and diving from the sides of the pool where marked "NO DIVING" is dangerous = and not allowed. Also, No Jumping/Diving from the lifeguard chairs.

&nb= sp;           i. Glass, breakable items, and pets can be a health and safety hazard and are = not allowed in the pool area. Dis= pose of cigarettes (SMOKING IS NOT ALLOWED INSIDE THE FENCE) and trash in the containers provided.

j. To prevent/avoid chemical imbala= nce or filter problems with the water, please:

(1) = Towel or shower off suntan lotion or oil before entering the pool. Oil gums up tiles and dilutes the chemicals.

(2) Braid, confine i= n a pony tail or bun, or wear a bathing cap if hair is longer than shoulder length. Loose hair cannot be backwashed from the filter system and reduces its efficiency.

(3) Use only clean p= ool toys.

GENERAL POOL RULES

Arm floats and plastic tube floats = are not safety devices and must be used under adult supervision.

When a lifeguard is on duty, h= e/she has full and final authority

on all matters concerning the = pool.

These rules were adopted using= the guidelines of the

American Red Cross and City and State Safety Guidelines and Codes.

They are to guarantee all safe= ty, sanitary, and appropriate operating directives are met. They are to protect the enjoyment = and safety of all
